Solid Ground Program

Australia's first

Re-Integration program

Solid Ground's goal is to help participants rebuild every part of their lives.  

Begin your journey at our 160 acre Eneabba property 1.5 hours south of Geraldton, you will stay for a minimum of 12 months and will be provided with wrap-around supports that help you build your skills and confidence before returning to the community.  

Skills based co-operative business  

You will take part in a business where everyone works together and shares skills. You can learn new work skills and also teach others what you already know, with support from our staff mentors.    

Helping the community

​You will be supported to do volunteer and paid work for the local community. This could include things like fencing, firebreaks, gardening and cleaning up yards. 

 

Any money made by the business or through paid work is split 50 - 50 between St ROB and the participants, with your share saved in your name and given to you when you complete the program.

 

​​Wellbeing and personal growth

​Each day you'll do activities that focus on learning, therapy and personal growth:

 - Mandatory Alcohol & Drug and domestic violence education

 - Learning practical life skills like cooking, cleaning, managing money, fixing a car and being work ready

 - Mental health support available through a Mental Health Care Plan

 - Daily personal reflection time and weekly 1-to-1 mentoring

​​What we provide

 - Transport upon discharge from prison to our property in Eneabba

 - Accommodation, all meals, utilities and Wi-Fi

 - Transport to any necessary appointments eg. parole reporting, Centrelink, doctor's appointments

 - Support to access Centrelink payments and other essential services

 - A vehicle for you to repair and prepare for a roadworthy inspection, which is then licensed and your to keep when you complete the program

You must commit to:

 

 - Staying for a minimum of 12 months (with option to stay longer) - family visits can be arranged with notice

 - Living and working cooperatively with up to 10 other men, plus staff

 - Actively participating in all program activities and 6-hour working days

 - A drug-free environment and undergoing regular drug testing

 

 Cost

$700 a fortnight. Our staff can support you to access Jobseeker payments to cover costs if required
